What is the Neubie?
The Neubie is an FDA-cleared Class II direct-current neuromuscular electrical stimulation device. Unlike traditional e-stim (which uses alternating current and works on the muscle), the Neubie uses pulsed direct current to communicate with the nervous system — the control center for every movement, pain signal, and recovery response in the body. It's been adopted by over 4,000 certified clinicians and 50+ pro sports organizations.
Is it safe?
Yes — within the FDA-cleared indications and supervised by a licensed practitioner. Contraindications include cardiac pacemaker and pregnancy. We screen every patient at intake. If you have specific medical conditions, mention them when you book and we'll review with our supervising chiropractor before treatment.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe the sensation as "intense but pleasant" — the Neubie's waveform was specifically engineered to avoid the stinging/burning common with traditional direct-current devices. You stay in control of intensity throughout the session.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you're working on. Most patients notice changes in pain or range of motion in the first session. A typical rehab protocol runs 6-12 sessions; chronic pain or post-surgical cases may run 12-20+. For accident-recovery LOP cases, the standard protocol is 12-16 sessions over 6-12 weeks. After your initial assessment we'll give you an honest estimate.
What conditions can the Neubie help with?
The FDA-cleared indications cover maintaining or increasing range of motion, increasing local blood circulation, neuromuscular re-education, preventing atrophy, reducing spasms, preventing venous thrombosis after surgery, and management of chronic and post-surgical/post-traumatic pain. Clinicians report success with a wide range of injuries including plantar fasciitis, knee ligament issues, hamstring strains, back and neck pain, rotator cuff and shoulder issues, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, and chronic pain. The Neubie has also been used to help patients with neurological conditions like stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and MS — though outcomes vary case-by-case.
Do you accept insurance?
We are not currently in-network with private insurance. We're a cash-pay, settlement, and membership clinic by design — this keeps pricing honest and predictable, and avoids the 90-day insurance A/R waits that compromise smaller clinics. All sessions are HSA / FSA eligible. For accident cases, we work on Letter of Protection so treatment is paid from your settlement.
Do you take HSA or FSA?
Yes. Neubie sessions and recovery memberships are HSA / FSA eligible. We'll provide itemized receipts for your records.
How does the Letter of Protection (LOP) process work?
If you've been in an accident with active PI attorney representation, we work directly with your attorney on a Letter of Protection. The attorney signs a contract guaranteeing payment from your eventual settlement. You receive treatment at no out-of-pocket cost. We provide full clinical documentation that meets evidentiary standards. In Georgia, we also perfect the statutory chiropractor lien (O.C.G.A. § 44-14-470) alongside the LOP contract.
What should I wear?
Comfortable, loose clothing. Athletic wear, gym shorts, or yoga pants work well. We need to be able to place electrodes on your skin in the treatment areas, so avoid one-piece outfits. We have changing space and a small locker area on-site.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Plan on 90 minutes. We'll do intake paperwork (10-15 min), contraindication screening with our supervising chiropractor (15 min), a Neubie mapping session to identify treatment targets (15-20 min), your first treatment (30 min), and a brief consultation about next steps (10 min). You'll leave with a clear sense of whether the Neubie is going to help you.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled session. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged 50%. No-shows are charged the full session fee. Membership credits roll over for up to 30 days. Life happens — if you have a genuine emergency, message us and we'll work with you.
How does the Trucker Recovery program work?
Drop-in: $89 gets you one Neubie session, gym day pass, hot shower, and Wi-Fi access. Trucker Monthly: $199/mo for 4 Neubie credits, unlimited gym, shower/Wi-Fi. Fleet partnerships are $149/driver/mo for groups of 5+. Sessions are 30 minutes by default — designed to fit between deliveries. Book directly at our scheduling page or have your fleet ops contact us.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards available in $50, $100, $200, and $500 denominations — perfect for the recovery-curious person in your life. Email info@lexispeptora.org.
Can I use the Neubie at home?
The Neubie is a Class II device and can only be used commercially by a licensed practitioner or under their supervision. In some circumstances, NeuFit offers home rental/purchase to existing patients for continued care — ask us during your visit if this might fit your situation.
How is Lexis Peptora different from physical therapy?
We're not a substitute for physical therapy when PT is what you need. We're a recovery-focused clinic anchored by a specific technology (the Neubie) that traditional PT clinics typically don't have. Many of our clients work with both us and their PT — the Neubie often accelerates what their PT is already doing. If you're not sure which you need, book a free Recovery Membership Consultation and we'll give you an honest read.
What's the connection to the Lexis Peptora 501(c)(3)?
The Lexis Peptora 501(c)(3) is an independent research and education organization focused on peptide research and recovery science. Our clinic operates as a separate for-profit affiliate. The founder discloses the affiliation, but the clinic operates independently. We don't compound, prescribe, or administer peptides at the clinic.
