Direct current speaks to the nervous system in its own language.

What happens in a Neubie session, end to end.

Sixty minutes. Assessment, mapping, treatment, re-test, and a written plan. No membership required to find out if this is the right tool for what's holding you back.

Chapter 1 · The Problem

AC stimulates the muscle. DC speaks to the brain.

Most "e-stim" devices on the market — TENS units, NMES machines, the muscle-stim pads in the corner of a gym — run alternating current. AC contracts the muscle for you. It's a workout the muscle didn't choose. The brain stays out of it. And when the pads come off, the protection pattern is still there.

The Neubie runs direct current. DC bypasses the contract-the-muscle reflex and acts on the nervous system instead. It asks the brain a question: are you still bracing here, and do you still need to? When the answer is no, the muscle releases. Range returns because the protection is no longer needed.

This is why we measure in degrees. The change is real, and it belongs on paper.

Chapter 2 · The Mechanism

Sixty minutes, six stages.

Every first session follows the same sequence. The order is deliberate — assessment before mapping, mapping before current, re-test before any recommendation. No part of the visit is optional.

SESSION ID · 24-A · LUMBAR AMPLITUDE 9.4 mA DELTA RECORDED · WRITTEN PLAN FORWARD FLEXION 42° 58°
ASSESSMENT — LUMBAR · POSTERIOR CHAIN
  1. 01 15–20 min

    Assess

Movement screen first. We watch you bend, rotate, lift, and stop. The chiropractor records where you guard, where you compensate, and what your baseline range of motion is — in degrees, on paper, before any current.

ROM Recorded in degrees, every visit
  2. 02 5–10 min

    Map

Electrode placement based on the assessment. The Neubie reads conductivity differences and tells us where the nervous system is bracing. The map gets logged. Your map is yours — we use it next visit, and the visit after that.

  3. 03 20–25 min

    Treat

Direct current at the level you can hold. Not pulsed AC, not TENS, not e-stim. DC at sub-tetanic amplitude. You will feel it. You'll move while it's on, and the doctor will adjust the protocol as you move.

    DC Direct current, sub-tetanic amplitude
  4. 04 5–10 min

    Re-test

Same movement screen as Stage 01. Same degrees, recorded again. The delta is what we treat against — not a feeling, a number.

  5. 05 5–10 min

    Plan

Written recommendation. Number of sessions. Cadence. Whether membership makes clinical sense, and at which tier — or whether one more visit is all you need.

  6. 06 Same day

    Send-off

You leave with the plan in hand and the next appointment booked. We follow up by SMS within 24 hours to ask one question: how does it feel today?

Chapter 3 · The Solution

One device. One supervising chiropractor. Documented change.

The Neubie is FDA 510(k)-cleared as a Class II powered muscle stimulator. What Lexis Peptora does is supervise the use of this cleared device — under a chiropractor, with a written plan, against a movement baseline.
