Direct current speaks to the nervous system in its own language.

What happens in a Neubie session, end to end.

Sixty minutes. Assessment, mapping, treatment, re-test, and a written plan. No membership required to find out if this is the right tool for what's holding you back.

01 / ASSESS 15-20 min

Assess

Movement screen first. We watch you bend, rotate, lift, and stop. The chiropractor records where you guard, where you compensate, and what your baseline range of motion is — in degrees, on paper, before any current.

01 / ASSESS

02 / MAP 5-10 min

Map

Electrode placement based on the assessment. The Neubie reads conductivity differences and tells us where the nervous system is bracing. The map gets logged. Your map is yours — we use it next visit, and the visit after that.

STAGE 02 · MAP L1 L4 S1
02 / MAP

03 / TREAT 20-25 min

Treat

Direct current at the level you can hold. Not pulsed AC, not TENS, not e-stim. DC at sub-tetanic amplitude. You will feel it. You'll move while it's on, and the doctor will adjust the protocol as you move.

STAGE 03 · TREAT L1 L4 S1 + -
03 / TREAT

04 / RE-TEST 5-10 min

Re-test

Same movement screen as Stage 01. Same degrees, recorded again. The delta is what we treat against — not a feeling, a number.

04 / RE-TEST

05 / PLAN 5-10 min

Plan

Written recommendation. Number of sessions. Cadence. Whether membership makes clinical sense, and at which tier — or whether one more visit is all you need.

Send-off

You leave with the plan in hand and the next appointment booked. We follow up by SMS within 24 hours to ask one question: how does it feel today?

MECHANISM

Direct current, not pulsed AC.

The Neubie runs direct current. Most "e-stim" devices run alternating current — the kind that contracts the muscle for you. Direct current is different. It speaks to the nervous system, not the muscle. The brain learns it can release the brace. The muscle stops guarding. Range returns because the protection is no longer needed.

FDA 510(k) cleared the Neubie as a powered muscle stimulator (Class II) for muscle re-education, prevention of disuse atrophy, increased local circulation, and reduction of muscle spasms. What we do at Lexis Peptora is supervise the use of this cleared device — under a chiropractor, with a written plan, against a movement baseline.
